Your website is often the first place a customer judges your business. It has to load cleanly, look current, and stay safe after launch. Ori Services builds and maintains that kind of site, with US-based support you can reach during your business day.
Cheap website packages often push support overseas or into a ticket queue that wakes up after your shop closes. When a form breaks on a Friday afternoon, or a plugin update blanks the homepage before Monday, you need someone in a compatible timezone who can read the problem, speak clearly about the fix, and own the outcome.
With Ori Services you work with Joshua Shreve in Charlestown, Indiana. Support happens in US Eastern business hours. Questions get plain answers. Changes get tested before they go live. There is no handoff to an anonymous queue and no overnight guesswork about what your customers saw.
What that means for you
Same-day timezone overlap for urgent site issues during US business hours
Clear written and spoken English on every ticket and call
One accountable owner for design, build, security checks, and maintenance
Fixes documented so you know what changed and why
Security fails when sites go unpatched
Attackers target small and mid-size websites because many run old plugins, forgotten admin accounts, or e-commerce platforms that never received the latest fix. A breach can expose customer emails, payment data, or admin access. Cleaning it up costs more than building the site correctly the first time, and it damages trust with every customer who gets a fraud alert.
These public cases show how website software and maintenance failures turn into real incidents:
1. Adobe Commerce / Magento CosmicSting (2024).
Adobe published a critical Magento / Adobe Commerce flaw (CVE-2024-34102) and warned of exploitation against merchants. CISA added the vulnerability to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Security reporting later counted thousands of stores compromised, with attackers injecting checkout skimmers to steal card data.
A critical flaw in the Really Simple Security plugin (CVE-2024-10924) let remote attackers gain administrator access on sites that had two-factor authentication enabled. The free plugin alone ran on millions of WordPress installs.
Attackers used recycled passwords to compromise plugin author accounts and ship malicious updates to five plugins. WordPress.org forced password resets for plugin authors after the incident.
A vulnerability in the GiveWP WordPress donation plugin exposed donor names and email addresses in page source on Pi-hole's donation page. Pi-hole published a public post-mortem. Payment card data stayed with Stripe and PayPal.
5. British Airways website payment skimming (2018, ICO fine 2020).
Attackers altered JavaScript on British Airways' site to send payment card data to an attacker-controlled domain. The UK Information Commissioner's Office later fined BA £20 million for failing to secure personal data.
Secure build practices and vulnerability checks before launch and after each change
Dependency and plugin update discipline, with backups before updates
Least-privilege admin accounts and hardened hosting baselines
Clear security policies scaled for small and mid-size businesses
Maintenance that keeps watching after launch
A build is only the start. With a maintenance plan, Ori Services monitors for vulnerabilities daily, checks for updates to the systems your site runs on, and watches the site itself so downtime and security risk stay minimized. You do not have to constantly monitor it yourself.
Daily vulnerability monitoring so known risks get noticed before they become incidents
Regular checks for updates to the systems your site depends on
Ongoing site monitoring aimed at catching downtime and security issues early
You stay focused on the business while someone accountable watches the site
No builder can promise zero risk. The difference is whether someone is watching patches, access, and uptime after the ribbon cutting, and a maintenance plan is how that watching stays on.
Your site is your storefront
Customers decide in seconds whether a business looks trustworthy. A dated layout, a broken phone view, or a wall of popups tells them the shop is careless. A clean, fast, mobile-ready site tells them the opposite.
Google's consumer research on mobile experience found that 53% of visits are abandoned when a mobile page takes longer than three seconds to load. Slow pages also train visitors to leave and shop elsewhere.
Hard to use on a phone, so walk-in and call traffic never converts
Cluttered or ancient design that reads as abandoned
Interruptions (popups, chat stacks, fake urgency) that hide the real offer
Forms that fail, so leads never arrive
What a strong site signals
Clear services, hours, and contact paths
Photos and layout that match how the business actually operates
Fast load on phone and desktop
Room to grow into listings, booking, or e-commerce without a full rebuild
Common issues on small business sites
These examples show problems that show up often: cluttered layouts, broken phone views, and popup stacks that hide the offer.
!Avoid
Dated, cluttered layout. A table-heavy homepage with stacked banners and "under construction" graphics. Customers leave before they find hours or directions.
!Avoid
Broken mobile view. A desktop site forced onto a phone. Menus overflow, buttons clip, and the appointment path breaks.
!Avoid
Popup-heavy homepage. Cookie banners, discount modals, and chat widgets stack until the actual service offer disappears.
